Sullivan’s Crossing Season 4: Cal Finally Confronts Liam Over Hurting Maggie

As Sullivan’s Crossing Season 4 continues, one of the biggest emotional storylines revolves around Cal Jones (Chad Michael Murray), Maggie Sullivan (Morgan Kohan), and the return of Maggie’s former husband Liam (Marcus Rosner). After discovering that Maggie had not been completely honest about her previous marriage, Cal is forced to confront difficult feelings about trust, honesty, and the painful history that still affects Maggie.

Going into Episode 4, viewers were left wondering how Cal would react after learning that Maggie’s marriage to Liam was not actually annulled as she had originally suggested. Instead, Maggie had been legally married for an entire year before Liam disappeared from her life.

Despite the revelation, Cal and Maggie’s relationship remains strong. Maggie finally opens up about what happened and promises that there will be no more secrets between them.

Emotional and vulnerable, Maggie explains why she struggled to talk about her past.

“I wasn’t trying to hide anything from you,” she tells Cal. “I married someone I had only known for a month, and then he disappeared. He left for work and I never heard from him again.”

Maggie admits that the experience left her feeling embarrassed and hurt. She reveals that she had completely committed herself to Liam and was prepared to change her entire life for him, only to be abandoned without explanation.

“I trusted him, and he left me,” she says. “I feel ashamed about everything that happened, and I never want to feel that way again, Cal.”

Rather than judging her, Cal reassures Maggie that the failure of the relationship was not her fault.

“Whatever you had with Liam, he ruined it,” Cal tells her.

Maggie explains that Liam’s disappearance made it difficult for her to trust another person again, but her relationship with Cal helped her heal.

“He made it really hard for me to trust anyone, until you,” she says. “You know everything now. No more secrets.”

Following their conversation, Maggie decides to move forward by signing the divorce papers. Since Cal believes Liam should receive them through someone else rather than directly from Maggie, he volunteers to deliver the documents himself.

However, when Cal arrives expecting Liam to immediately sign the paperwork, things do not go as planned.

Instead, Liam says he needs time to review the documents and insists that he can personally submit them to the courthouse later.

Cal quickly becomes frustrated, accusing Liam of once again creating problems in Maggie’s life after already causing emotional damage by abandoning her.

“Following through isn’t exactly your strong point, is it?” Cal says, criticizing Liam for not taking the divorce process seriously.

He tells Liam that after everything Maggie went through, the least he can do is respect her enough to handle the situation properly.

Meanwhile, Maggie faces another challenge in her professional life while working at Quincy’s medical clinic.

Maggie has been training under Quincy (Jonathan Silverman), but their working relationship becomes increasingly difficult because Quincy has a strict approach to medicine and expects her to follow his instructions without questioning his decisions.

Quincy makes it clear that Maggie’s role is to learn from him and follow his direction.

The tension increases when Cal brings Tracy (Emerson MacNeil) and Ben (Colby Frost) to the clinic after Edna (Andrea Menard) notices that Tracy appears to be struggling with her breathing.

After examining Tracy, Quincy believes she is experiencing an asthma attack and decides to provide treatment using a nebulizer before sending her home with an inhaler.

However, when Maggie begins asking Tracy questions about her medical history, she realizes that important information is missing. Tracy does not know whether she has asthma or any allergies.

Maggie suggests contacting Tracy’s mother for more details, and Ben agrees to call her. But before they can get more answers, Tracy begins to panic and struggles to breathe even more.

When Quincy returns, he questions Maggie about what happened and criticizes her response. He tells her that calming the patient should have been her responsibility and begins questioning whether she is prepared to work with children.

The disagreement grows stronger when Maggie suggests that Tracy may actually be suffering from gastroesophageal reflux disease rather than asthma.

Quincy disagrees and insists that his original diagnosis is correct. He tells Maggie that she needs to learn to trust his medical instincts if she wants to continue working with him.

The conflict leaves Maggie questioning whether their professional relationship can continue.

Back at Sullivan’s Crossing, another mystery begins to unfold involving Liam.

Frank (Tom Jackson) spends time talking with Liam and shares a story about Maggie’s childhood. He explains that Maggie once believed her father, Sully, had abandoned her, but learning the truth eventually helped her heal.

The conversation appears to affect Liam as he prepares to sign the divorce papers.

Before signing, Liam looks at an old wedding photograph he carries in his wallet. The moment triggers a flashback to his wedding day with Maggie, when she told him, “I will always love you.”

The emotional memory reveals that Liam still has unresolved feelings about their relationship.

Just as Liam prepares to move forward, his phone rings. The mysterious person on the other end appears to be someone he has been waiting to hear from.

Liam says that he believes he needs to tell Maggie the truth about what happened.

The conversation raises even more questions about why Liam disappeared after their wedding and what secret he has been keeping.

Later, Liam decides he needs to speak with Maggie directly. He tells her that he wants to explain why he never contacted her after leaving for his assignment.

However, Maggie is not ready to hear his explanation.

She believes Liam simply realized she was not exciting enough for him and chose to leave.

Maggie tells him that she has already moved on and is happy with Cal, someone who loves her exactly as she is.

She explains that she thought Liam had died until she discovered that he had published an article, proving he was alive.

Liam begins trying to explain what really happened during his assignment, but their conversation is interrupted when Cal calls Maggie with an emergency.

Tracy, who had been sleeping at the Outpost, has developed a high fever. When Ben checks on her, he realizes something is seriously wrong.

Maggie immediately rushes to help Tracy, leaving Liam’s explanation unfinished.

As Episode 4 ends, several major questions remain unanswered. What actually happened to Liam after he left Maggie? Why did he disappear without contacting her? Who was the person calling him? And will Maggie ever learn the truth about the years they lost?
